How it works
Add Melody Synth.
Pick an instrument.
Melody Synth is an effect on the vocal lane. Choose a sound and an octave. Mix sets how much of the singer you still hear.

Three steps
- Choose the vocal lane and add Melody Synth.
- Pick one of the 19 sounds.
- Lower Mix to keep the singer with it.
On Mac
Click Add effect under the vocal lane's stack. Octave down or up with −1 and +1. The Mac guide
On iPad
Tap Add effect in the vocal lane's stack and choose Melody Synth. The iPad guide
On iPhone
Open Effects, tap Add effect and choose Melody Synth. The iPhone guide
Add a choir.
Harmonize
A choir
that follows the chords.
Harmonize surrounds the voice with voices of its own, following the song's chords: Duet, Trio, Pad, Choir, Angels or Double. Ensemble, Character and Mix shape it.

As MIDI
The melody leaves as a MIDI file when you export.
MIDI Learn
Map a knob on your controller to any control on the card.
Octaves
Voice plays the melody where it was sung. −1 and +1 move it an octave.
Questions
Short answers.
Can I hear the instrument without the singer?
Yes. Turn Mix all the way up and the instrument plays the melody alone.
Which sounds are there?
19: synth leads, a grand piano, an electric guitar, a trumpet with a straight mute, music boxes, an accordion and a harmonica.
Does it need the internet?
No. The models are inside the app, so the first song works in airplane mode.
Which songs can I open?
Any audio file you already have that the system decodes: MP3, M4A and AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, CAF and more, up to ten minutes. Norah Studio cannot open songs from streaming services: their files are locked to their own apps.
